After the completion of the survey of Gyanvapi campus, the matter is in the court. In the case, 5 women are making the most headlines. There are 5 women fighting the case of Shringar-Gauri’s regular darshan – Rakhi Singh, Laxmi Devi, Sita Sahu, Manju Vyas and Rekha Pathak.

How did these women become friends? How did the idea of filing a petition come to mind? Who became their back-support in filing this petition? Let us know the answers to all these questions one by one…

We 4 women used to go to visit every day, there was friendship
Sita Sahu, one of the 5 women who fought the Shringar-Gauri case, came on Bhaskar’s camera after the completion of the three-day survey. He told, “Benaras is my in-laws house. I live in Chetganj area. Husband Gopal Sahu runs a grocery shop. When the in-laws came, know about the makeup of Gauri Mata. My faith in mother increased. Started going for darshan everyday, but could not get to see the mother.

“Like me, three more women used to come there every day to see the mother. She also considered the mother as her presiding deity. Due to this, we all became friends. We used to do satsang together. One day we all met. I decided to do something so that the temple of Maa Shringar Gauri gets opened and we start having regular darshan.

We had to put bangles and bindi on the platform, we were also indecisive.

Sita Sahu says that throughout the year, on the full moon day of Chaitra Navratri, we used to get to see the mother for only one hour. In that too we were abused. In the western part of the Gyanvapi complex is the Mata ka Chabutra. Just, we used to get to see there. We used to come there with a bangle and a bindi to the mother. The temple of Mata is near the disputed structure. We want to have regular darshan of our own mother, so we women decided to take recourse to the law.

Sohanlal and Harishankar Jain helped
Sita Sahu said that our friend is Dr. Sohanlal, husband of Laxmi Devi. Sohanlal had filed a case similar to our case in the year 1996. At that time also the order for inspection of Advocate Commissioner was done, but due to some reason the inspection could not be done.
