‘Which is the lower caste..’: Students asked shocking question in the exam

Salem (Tamil Nadu): A question paper in Periyar University Tamil Nadu A controversy has erupted after questions related to caste were asked in the first year examination held on Thursday. Speaking on the issue, the Vice Chancellor said that another university had framed the question and they did not get any information regarding the paper. “The question papers for the exam are not prepared by Periyar University. Other university and college lecturers prepare the question paper.

Generally, to avoid question paper leak, we do not read the question paper before the exam. I could not find any information about the controversial question. We will investigate it,” the VC said.

“We are today seeking a report from the controller of examination who had set the question paper. We are not contemplating to conduct the exam again,” he said.
