India TV Samvaad 2023: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the work of making India’s first bullet train is going on and the target is to complete it by August 2026.

Speaking exclusively to India TV’s Samvad, the Union Minister said that recently a top official of the Japanese Prime Minister had visited India to check the progress of the bullet train project. He said Japanese officials were amazed at the scale and quality of the progress.

Elaborating on the work completed, the Minister said that about 140 km of pillar works have been completed, construction work of all 13 stations is in progress, and bridges on all 8 rivers are also in advance stage. They aim to run India’s first Bullet by August 2026.

The Union Minister said that the construction of bullet train is a complex task and many things have to be considered while executing the project.

He also talked about Vande Bharat trains, Vande Metro trains and Hydrogen trains.

The minister said that they are planning to launch India’s first hydrogen train by the end of December this year, while the Vande Metro train will start around 12 months from now.
