Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of the most loved couples. Fans love their chemistry and always shower them with lots of love. After dating each other for a long time, the couple got married in 2018 and it was surely one of the most talked about weddings of the year. However, in an interview, Virat Kohli shared how Anushka stopped him from revealing the details of the wedding even to his best friend.
Virat shared that his wife Anushka Sharma had kept the details of their marriage extremely secretive. During an interview with Graham Basinger, Virat Kohli said, “So the plan was executed by Anushka as I was in the middle of the series. So she (Anushka) found out the location and everything. And he clearly mentioned that we have to keep it a secret and there was no other way. “It was in Italy, wasn’t it?” Graham asked, to which he replied, “Yeah, but still a media person reached there but was not allowed inside.”
A close friend of the cricketer (Gagan Gujral), who was present there, shared that he too was not informed about the location. Gagan shared, “It was so confidential that he didn’t tell us until we landed in Florence. We got off in Florence and asked the driver ‘Where are we going?’ And he said ‘I shouldn’t have told you that’.
Virat was also heard saying, “There was tight security here and people had to go inside with their cards or they couldn’t enter. So proper top level stuff. And then we came to Bombay to do another celebration for his industry friends, my cricketer friends. So at the two ceremonies, after they finished, the next day our families said ‘we’re so glad you did it in Italy’. That’s when we said imagine if the main thing had happened in India. It would have been madness. They (family) could not handle two celebration parties. Only then did he realize that ‘well, what he did was right.’
Coming to Anushka, she is making a comeback with Chakda Express which is a sports drama based on the life of Jhulan Goswami.
