New Delhi: In a shameful incident, KR Ramesh Kumar, a senior Congress leader from Karnataka, on Thursday (December 16) made a cruel and obscene remark on the incidents of rape in the state assembly. The leader has been the Speaker of the House in the past.
Speaking in the assembly, Kumar said, “There is a saying that when rape is inevitable, lie down and enjoy it.
The leader made this remark when he was not given time to speak in the assembly to speak on farmers’ issues.
When the speaker asked how the session would go on if everyone was given time.
“Whatever you decide I’ll say yes. What I’m thinking is that we enjoy the situation. I can’t control or control the system, my concern is about the home business, to be covered too It is,” the Speaker told the members.

However, it should be noted that this is not the first time that a Congress leader has made such lewd and distasteful statements about women who have been sexually assaulted.
Earlier, during his tenure as Karnataka Assembly Speaker, he compared himself to a rape victim.
The legislators, including women members of his party, protested in the session and condemned the statement made by him.

Activist Vrinda Adige also took a jibe at the Congress MLA, saying, “How shameful can such a thing be in the assembly, where women voters voted for these comrades and paid our taxes?
