When Puneet Rajkumar recreated the iconic picture of his father Rajkumar with a pigeon

Puneet RajkumarThe youngest in the family of acting legend Dr Rajkumar and a superstar of Kannada cinema, passed away at the age of 46 due to cardiac arrest. Coming from a family of actors, the power star had carved a niche for himself and his popularity surpassed that of his brothers Raghavendra Rajkumar and Shiva Rajkumar. In 2017, the actor recreated an iconic picture of his late father with a dove. The original picture was from Dr Rajkumar’s 1971 blockbuster film, Kasturi Niwas. This picture is one of the most iconic pictures of Kannada cinema.

Puneet recreated the photo when he was shooting for his film ‘Rajkumara’ in 2017. In the photo, a white dove can be seen sitting on its shoulder. Actress Priya Anand was also in the film.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai condoled the death of Puneet Rajkumar and announced that full state honors would be given during the last rites of the actor. His mortal remains will be placed in Bengaluru next to the grave of his father, Kannada cinema legend Dr Rajkumar. Senior IAS officer N Manjunath Prasad, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, issued an order in this regard on Friday.

Puneeth acted in more than 29 Kannada films. He appeared as a lead actor in several commercially successful films including Appu (2002), Abhi (2003), Veera Kannadiga (2004), Maurya (2004), Aakash (2005), Ajay (2006), Arasu (2007) have been given. Milana (2007), Vamshi (2008), Ram (2009), Jackie (2010), Hudugru (2011), Rajkumar (2017), and Anjani Putra (2017).
