New Delhi: President Arif Alvi was recently all over Pakistan’s Twitter handle for his tweet, which people struggled to understand.
While some of his tweets contained only a few letters of the alphabet, another seemed to be a collection of some randomly typed letters.

Pakistan finally has its moment of coveff. Our President: pic.twitter.com/61f6wVBCu9

The tweets were soon removed from his timeline, but not before Pakistani Twitter had exploded with memes and posts mocking the president. The typo also reminded people of former US President Donald Trump’s famous “cowpauff” gaffe from 2017, which became a rage around the world.

President Alvi’s adviser Adil Ansari shared on Twitter: “…he (Alvi) was out for the time of his activity and the phone must have been open in the pocket and thus the tweets.”
President @ArifAlvi Is an active Twitter user and keeps himself abreast of news events, conversations on certain topics, etc. from this platform.
As a sports lover, he was out for his activity time and the phone must have been open in the pocket and thus the tweets.
The tweets have now been deleted.

However, Twitterati continued to take a dig at the President.
covfefe has set the bar very high! Unfortunately our President’s version doesn’t have that same zing and is therefore not meme worthy

Even Alvi’s son Dr Awab Alvi couldn’t resist a post on the tweet as he noted how “nonsense pocket tweeting” led to a “national Twitter crisis”.

not the first time
President Alvi is very popular on social media and has been in discussion about his post in the past. He once tweeted about watching Fifty Shades of Grey. The post was recently removed.
He is also on Facebook, and even created an official account on TikTok in June, just before Pakistan banned the Chinese app in the country. On his TikTok debut, 71-year-old Alvi had said that he is a “dreamer” who “sees the light in everything”.
Alvi, a member of the ruling PTI, was elected the country’s president in September 2018, soon after the Imran Khan government came to power.
