Malaika Arora had once rejected Rakhi Sawant’s claim that she was not called ‘an item girl’ because of her connection to Salman Khan.

Malaika Arora has entertained fans with her incredible moves in popular dance numbers like Chaiyya Chaiyya, Dholna, Kaal Dhamaal, Heyy Babyy, Hoth Rasiley, Munni Badnaam Hui and Anarkali Disco Chali. She has also established herself as a reality show judge and one of the most prominent faces in Bollywood. Malaika, who has been in the business for over 25 years now, often grabs headlines for her professional as well as personal life.

Malaika was previously married to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s younger brother, actor Arbaaz Khan. They were officially divorced in 2017. She is now dating actor Arjun Kapoor.

In an interview to Hindustan Times in 2008, Malaika had reacted to a comment made by Rakhi Sawant, who had reportedly said that Malaika was not called ‘an item girl’ because of her connection to Salman. Malaika said, “In that case I should be in every Salman film and in every special appearance song he does. He hasn’t made me, I’m a self-made woman.”

Meanwhile, Malaika Arora turned a year older on October 23. While she received wishes from all corners, it was her boyfriend Arjun Kapoor’s wish that caught everyone’s attention. He took to his social media handle to wish his “baby” a happy birthday alongside a mushy photo of the couple, putting an end to all speculations about their rumoured breakup.

Malaika also addressed the reports of their breakup in an interview with Times of India. She said, “I don’t want to discuss my personal space as of now, and I am at that stage where I have spoken when I had to speak. I don’t need to clarify anything because whatever has to be said has already been said.”
