On several occasions, Kareena has spoken about how inspired and encouraged her mother-in-law is. Earlier, in one of her interviews with PTI, the actress had revealed that her mother-in-law likes to see her in glamorous roles.
Kareena, who married actor Saif Ali Khan in 2012, shares an unconventional bond with Sharmila. The actress leaves no chance to shower her mother-in-law’s appreciation and love. During her interview, Kareena had revealed that Sharmila really liked her in the popular dance number, Fevicol from the film Dabangg 2.
“She (Sharmila Tagore) likes me in glamorous parts. He liked me in the song ‘Fevicol’. She loves to sing and dance, so she always says that I should look sexy and glamorous. I think it’s a compliment, because looking glamorous even after marriage… I love it,” Kareena said.
Kareena, who has played memorable characters after marriage and children, considers Sharmila as her inspiration. The actor shared that his mother-in-law has worked with the biggest superstars and filmmakers of the industry, and she aims to do the same. “She will always be my inspiration to keep my career and family together,” Kareena said.
Earlier this year, Kareena welcomed her second son Jeh. Throughout her pregnancy, Kareena continued to work as she was seen fulfilling her work commitments. The actress wrapped up her schedule for Aamir Khan-led Laal Singh Chaddha and also completed the recording of her talk show, What Women Want.
In her soon-to-be-released book titled Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible, she revealed that it was Saif and her mother-in-law Sharmila who encouraged her to continue working during her pregnancy. The actress revealed that Sharmila was the first one to ask her to keep working. Kareena said that her mother-in-law told her to do whatever she wants but with confidence.
