WhatsApp Reportedly planning to add some new drawing tools for images and videos. Facebook Proprietary platforms currently allow users to draw on media but it doesn’t allow you to replace the pencil. Now, according to a report by WABetaInfo, the company is planning to add more pencil options in the edit section. WhatsApp recently started rolling out a new update through the Google Play beta program, which brings the version up to 2.22.3.
Although the new editing tools are not available to the users, some hints have been seen about the feature in the recent update. According to the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, once the feature is rolled out, users will get two new pencils in addition to the ones already available. The screenshot also shows that the thickness of the pencil will vary. Apart from this, the report also suggests that WhatsApp is also working on a feature that will allow users to blur the image before sending it. For those who don’t know, the blur feature is already available for iOS users and as per reports, the platform may release the feature for it. Android users as well.
WhatsApp has also started rolling out new animating heart emoji for iOS users as part of its beta program. Currently, when users send a red heart emoji, they see an animation where the heart appears to be beating. The animation effect is limited only to the red heart emoji, but a new report from WABetaInfo suggests that the Facebook-owned platform has added animated effects to more emoji. There are currently nine heart emojis in WhatsApp, including the animated emoji. It is worth noting that the features mentioned above are not available to the public yet, but it is expected that the features will be released to everyone in the coming updates.
