According to a report by WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app will give users the option to save messages from disappearing conversations. The feature has been referenced in previous betas of WhatsApp, and now the Meta-owned app has added a new section to access previously saved messages. A screenshot shared by WABetaInfo shows that the Contact Information section will have a section that says “Messages placed”. It will contain all the messages that you have prevented from disappearing in case the chat with the said contact is disappearing.
It is not known when users will be able to see this feature on their mobiles.
