WhatsApp is testing new voice note design for these users – Times of India

WhatsApp The new Voice Notes layout has reportedly started rolling out to some users. According to a report by WABetaInfo, the Facebook-owned platform has been working on a visual upgrade for quite some time. it was already available for Android And iOS Users and with the latest beta update, the company is bringing the feature for desktop users. according to the report, whatsapp desktop Beta testers can now view voice waveforms in the chat bubble. Many users can now view voice waveforms for voice notes if this feature is enabled for their WhatsApp account. However, the report specifically mentions that voice waveforms may not be visible when receiving a voice note from someone who doesn’t have the feature enabled.
Users will also miss out on the voice waveform design on a voice note if it is recorded using an older version of WhatsApp. The platform previously enabled the new Voice Notes layout in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.21.13.17, but it was quickly disabled following a new update. As mentioned above, the visual upgrade is only available for selected desktop/web users, but is expected to be rolled out to more users in an upcoming update.
WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a feature that will allow you to keep certain missing messages in a chat for a longer period. As per a previous report, references to the new disappearing messages feature were found in the beta update for Android. Reportedly, if you have enabled disappearing of messages, this feature will allow you to keep certain messages in the chat even after the message has expired.
