New Delhi: Communication app WhatsApp on Wednesday announced the ban of over 23 lakh bad accounts in India in the month of October for violating the new IT Rules 2021. The forum had received 701 complaint reports in October, for which action was taken on 34 complaints.

A WhatsApp spokesperson said, “As per the IT Rules 2021, we have published our report for the month of October 2022. As recorded in the latest monthly report, WhatsApp has hacked more than 2.3 million accounts in the month of October.” is banned.”

The platform which has over 500 million users in India banned 31,23,24,000 WhatsApp accounts between October 1 and October 31.

If you feel that your account has been banned by mistake or without any reason, you need to email the messaging app at “wa@support.whatsapp.com” to further investigate the issue.
