Testing or assessment, state government directives or UGC guidelines have created immense confusion.

On July 17, the UGC had issued instructions saying that corona tests cannot be done. Students are asked to give marks through internal assessment only. Candidates are given the option of elective assessment on the basis of 50% marks in the final semester. Meanwhile, the state has suggested conducting tests.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Bratya Basu has left the university to take the decision. In such a situation, on Saturday, the Pro-VC Academy sent a message to all the heads of departments that the guidelines of UGC on July 18 should be followed.
