What Salim Merchant said about his unreleased song with slain singer Sidhu Moose Wala

Popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa on Sunday. Sidhu’s murder left his fans and associates in shock. On learning about Sidhu’s murder, composer Salim Merchant shared a heartfelt note on Twitter. Salim also wrote that he is going to release a song soon.

Salim wrote that shocked and saddened to hear about Sidhu’s murder.

According to Salim, Sidhu was a gem and he was about to continue his collaboration. This tweet has been retweeted more than a thousand times.

According to a report published in Hindustan Times, Salim said that Sidhu was a very kind, respectful and soft spoken person. Salim revealed that he is going to release a poster of the song with Sidhu in a week. The composer also said that he had gone to Chandigarh to record the song with Sidhu.

Salim told Hindustan Times that he and Sidhu were planning to release the song last year but then the election was announced. Sidhu got busy with the election and the song got delayed. After the elections were over, Salim and Sidhu got busy with their work. Finally, it was decided to release this song in June. Salim told that after a show he was working on this song in his hotel room.

Salim also told Hindustan Times that initially Sidhu was apprehensive about the song. Sidhu told Salim that it was difficult for him to sing this song. Salim revealed that he even came up with some of his own lyrics for the song.
