The Union Civil Aviation Ministry has unveiled a new policy on aerial sports. It aims to make India one of the top destinations in the region by 2030. The National Air Sports Policy (NASP), 2022, lists 11 sports under this category. These include aerobatics, aero modeling and rocketry, ballooning, amateur built and experimental aircraft, drones, gliding and power gliding, hang gliding and power hang gliding, parachuting, paragliding and paramotoring, powered aircraft and rotor aircraft.
