WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Misbehaves With TV Reporter, Breaks Her Mic

New Delhi: Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is facing serious allegations of sexual harassment leveled by a group of women wrestlers, on Tuesday broke the microphone of a journalist when he was repeatedly questioned on the allegations leveled against him. Went. Delhi Police. Singh, who had just landed at the Delhi airport, apparently lost his cool when he was confronted by a reporter from a private TV news channel who asked him some tough questions. When the reporter sought his reaction to the allegations of sexual impropriety and the Delhi Police chargesheet, the BJP MP angrily replied, “I have nothing to tell you,” and walked away.

Unsatisfied with his answer, the reporter followed Singh and demanded to know why he should not be expelled from his party, the BJP, which enraged the WFI chief even more. A video of the entire incident shows the journalist trying to get answers from Singh at the airport. He dodged questions and said, “I don’t have any masala for you.” (“I don’t have any spice for you.”)

When he continued to pressurize him and asked if he would resign, Singh angrily shouted at him, “Kyun de istifa? Why resign? (“Why should I resign?”).

Then he raised his voice and said, “What are you demanding for resignation? Silent.” (“On what grounds are you seeking resignation. Shut up.”)

The video has now gone viral on social media and has drawn strong reactions from various quarters.

Brij Bhushan is a ‘goonda’: DCW chief

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal saw the video circulating on social media and immediately demanded jail term for Brij Bhushan. “Let me repeat this. Brij Bhushan Singh is a goon. Imagine when he has the guts to behave like this with a female reporter on camera, how he must be behaving with women off camera! In this man’s place He is in jail, not in Parliament!” Maliwal tweeted.

Earlier, the Delhi Police had filed a chargesheet against Brij Bhushan Singh, who “should be punished for the offenses” of stalking and harassing. Police have cited sections 506 (grave intimidation), 354 (outraging the modesty of woman), 354A (sexual harassment), and 354D (stalking). He also noted that in one case Singh’s insults were “repeated and continued.”

On Friday, Brij Bhushan received summons from a Delhi court in connection with the charge sheet, where the court requested his presence on July 18. Apart from this, Vinod Tomar, the suspended assistant clerk of the Wrestling Federation of India, has also been summoned.
