West Bengal Class 10 Board Exam Result

For the first time, all 11 lakh students who appeared for the class 10 board exam (called Madhyamik) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) have passed, of which 79 are joint toppers.

This was the year when the second wave of covid infection stopped the board from conducting the physical examination. To evaluate the students, the board adopted a “50:50 approach”, giving equal weightage to class 9 finalists and class 10 internals for calculation of marks.

Last year, by the time the Covid-induced lockdown was announced, the exams had been conducted.
