BENGALURU: Swedish furniture retailer Ikea will open its flagship store here in June.
Jesper Brodin, CEO of Ingca Group of which Ikea is a part, met Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai at the World Economic Forum meet in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday and discussed the backdrop of store-opening.
Ikea Store (furniture) is to be inaugurated here at Nagasandra in June and Brodin invited Bommai to the event, the chief minister’s office said in a statement.

Stating that there are ample opportunities for Axis Bank to take up various projects in collaboration with the state government, Bommai suggested the bank chief to upgrade some engineering colleges and universities in the state as part of the bank’s CSR programmes.
