Weather Forecast: Delhi Likely To Witness Rain Today

Delhi: The national capital witnessed a minimum temperature of 14.2 degree Celsius on Tuesday which is a slight rise, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

Furthermore, the day remained warmer, the maximum temperature recorded a slight dip that to Monday, it said.

IMD predicted that there is a possibility of light rain/drizzle in the capital city bring some respite for the Delhiites.

The minimum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 14.2 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average, against 13.3 degree Celsius on Monday.

However, the city registered the maximum temperature at 30.9 degrees Celsius, which is two notches above the normal temperature for this time of the year, against 31.4 degrees Celsius reported a day earlier.

IMD stated that the Delhi Ridge recorded the highest maximum temperature on Tuesday with 31.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 17.8 degrees Celsius.

As per a weather scientist, there’s a slight chance of rain due to a minor influence from a western disturbance, which might lead to a marginal drop in daytime temperatures. However, once the western disturbance passes, temperatures are expected to rise again.

Meanwhile, the city’s air quality has deteriorated to a moderate level, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) measuring 191 on a scale of 0 to 500, compared to 200 the previous day.

Pollution monitoring agencies anticipate that the AQI will fall into the poor category today.
