Washington Sundar ended his spell with impressive figures of 3/28 in four overs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad off-spinner Washington Sundar trapped the Delhi Capitals batsmen at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday. Sundar got his mojo back as he dismissed three batsmen in an over to put Delhi Capitals on the backfoot.
It was the 8th over of the innings and DC skipper David Warner decided to break the shackles and played an aerial shot over square leg, where Harry Brook took a difficult catch to end his stay in the middle. Warner once again played a slow innings of 21 runs in 20 balls. Next ball, new batsman Manish Pandey took a single and gave strike to Sarfaraz Khan, who went for a big shot and was caught by Bhuvneshwar Kumar at mid-wicket.
Aman Khan came to bat at number 6 and hit the first ball for a four. However, he threw away his wicket on the very next ball. The young batsman charged down the ground to play a big shot but failed to read the line as it shot up in the air and was caught this time by Abhishek Sharma as Washington got their third wicket.
The off-spinner ended his spell with impressive figures of 3/28 in four overs.
Delhi Capitals captain David Warner won the toss against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday and decided to bat first.
As Delhi Capitals open their account in IPL 2023, Warner said they are looking forward to winning a few more games.

Delhi Capitals made a few changes to their XI as Prithvi Shaw and Lalit Yadav missed out while Sarfaraz Khan and Ripple Patel got chances.
“We will bat first. It looks like a good surface to bat on, it has a good sheen too. If you set a good total, you can definitely defend it. It’s going to be about being consistent here. It’s about.
