Shubman Gill was the star of the show as the team India On Wednesday, January 19, India beat New Zealand by 12 runs in the first ODI at Hyderabad to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

The Men in Blue sealed the ODI series 3-0 after scoring a century in their previous outing against Sri Lanka, Gill combined Virat Kohli Who propelled India to a historic 317-run victory by playing an unbeaten innings of 166 runs.

The 23-year-old continued his red-hot scoring streak as he hit a double hundred to further cement his place in the Indian side as an opener.

An interesting incident happened during the first ODI. While fans must have enjoyed Gill’s blistering game, some fans started chanting ‘Sara, Sara’ as the youngster came to the ground near the boundary ropes.

A video of the incident is going viral on social media, in which the opener has chosen to play down their antics by waving to the fans.

Gill has been linked with Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar and both Bollywood Actress Sara Ali Khan last.

While there is no confirmation about their relationship, Shubman gave an interesting answer when asked about dating Sara Ali Khan on the chat show.

In the Punjabi chat show Dil Diyan Gallan, host Sonam asked Gill if he was dating Sara, to which he replied, “Maybe.”

The host pressed her saying, “Sara da sara sach bolo please (Please tell us the whole truth)” and she replied, “Sara da sara sach bol reyan (I am telling the whole truth). Maybe Yes Maybe No “

The opener scored 208 runs in just 149 balls, his innings studded with 19 fours and 9 sixes.

He helped India post a total of 349 runs on the board, and New Zealand could only manage 337 runs in reply, well short of a successful run-chase.
