Fans are remembering the playing days of Tendulkar’s career while others lauded him for setting an example of enjoying retirement.

He may have put an end to his career years ago, but Tendulkar regularly features in conversations and debates about the greatest batsman/cricketer to have ever played the game.

Recently, after Virat Kohli scored his 46th ODI century, former cricketers and fans started predicting whether the batting superstar would match or surpass Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI hundreds in 2023 itself.

Inevitably, comparisons were made and some even claimed as to how Kohli could be the greatest ODI batsman of all time.

Though it will be a never-ending debate, the former India opener Gautam Gambhir He had his say on drawing parallels between two of the best batsmen in the history of the game recently.

“It’s honestly not about the record. Virat Kohli Will go on to score many more hundreds than Sachin Tendulkar in the 50-over format. Look, the rules have changed,” Gambhir said Cricket Show on Star Sports.
