The Indian cricket team is currently facing Australia in a four-match series and will play the final game of the series from March 9 in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, Holi, the festival of colours, will be celebrated across the country on March 8. Recently, Indian opener Shubman Gill shared a video on his Instagram account, in which Indian players can be seen in a festive mood. In the caption of the video, Gill wrote, “Happy Holi from the Indian cricket team.”

Notably, Rohit Sharma also shared pictures from the festivities. Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Sharma wrote, ‘Happy Holi friends’. The Indian board also posted pictures of the team celebrating the festival.

India and Australia are face to face in the high-profile Border Gavaskar Trophy. Home team India lead the series 2-1 and will be eyeing the World Test Championship final, which will be played at The Oval in June. Australia has already qualified for the World Test Championship, while India needs some work to do. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese will mark their presence in the India vs Australia fourth Test in the ongoing Border Gavaskar series. Leaders from both countries are set to join the commentary panel on the first day of the Ahmedabad Test as India look for a series win.

PM Modi and PM Anthony will watch the cricket action on the first day of the fourth test. This will be Modi’s first appearance for a cricket match at the Ahmedabad stadium as the venue was named after him. Both Modi and Anthony will reach Ahmedabad on Wednesday, the eve of the match. He will then go to the stadium on the morning of the game and be present at the ground at the time of the toss. Both the leaders will also meet the players of both the teams at the stadium. The special thing is that a cultural program will also be organized before the match.
