The presence of Rishabh Pant boosted the confidence of the Capitals as it was his first public appearance after the horrific accident.
Flamboyant wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant made his presence felt during the Indian Premier League match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday. Pant is out of the team IPL 2023 after suffering multiple injuries during a horrific car accident last year.
News18 CricketNext reported on Tuesday afternoon that Delhi Capitals will host their skipper for their first match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium after three years.

“Yes, How are you Rishabh (Rishabh is coming),” DDCA joint secretary Rajan Manchanda told News18 CricketNext.
Meanwhile, DDCA director Shyam Sharma said that they have arranged for a golf cart, a ramp and want to make it as comfortable as possible for Pant.
“We have clearances in place. It is up to Rishabh where he wants to sit. Whether with the owners, with the management, or with the dugout team. We have arranged for a golf cart and a temporary ramp is being prepared. Everyone wants to see Pant in the stadium. It will be good for both Delhi fans and Pant as well. Recovering from injury and sitting at home is not easy. This outing will do well for Pant around the world,” said Sharma.

Pant’s presence boosted the confidence of the Capitals as it was his first public appearance after the horrific accident.
It was not an ideal start for DC in IPL 2023 as they lost their opening match Lucknow Super Giants by 50 runs.
Head coach Ricky Ponting has mentioned on several occasions that he would like to have Pant by his side in the team’s dugout.
Meanwhile, fans also showered their love for Pant with a big jersey for him at the Bishan Singh Bedi stand with a special message.
Earlier, in their second match of the season, Hardik Pandya won the toss and Gujarat Titans elected to bowl first.
