India and Australia are battling it out in the middle on the opening day of the ongoing World Test Championship at The Oval. Australia lost after losing the toss Usman Khawaja Early but then David Warner showed signs of returning to form. He played a brilliant innings of 43 runs in just 60 balls after India blunted the new ball attack from the start. However, he threw away his wicket in the closing stages of the first session.

But the best dismissal for India came in the post-lunch session when Mohammed Shami Broke down a well-set defense from Marnus Labuschagne, facing his first ball of the season. It was a pitched delivery from the pacer in the region of the half-volley and Labuschagne couldn’t stop himself from driving.

But the ball was going so fast and hit the stumps. The batsman left enough space between bat and pad for the ball to see his furniture disturbed. It was a promising start for India in the second session as they looked a bit flat after opting to bowl first in the first session. Labuschagne scored 26 runs in 62 balls with the help of 3 fours before getting out.
