Krunal Pandya bowled some unplayable deliveries to get the better of SRH stars Aiden Markram and Glenn Phillips in back-to-back deliveries.

Lucknow Super Giants captain Krunal Pandya brought his A-game in the Indian Premier League match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday. The left-arm off-spinner bowled some unplayable deliveries to get the better of SRH stars Aiden Markram and Glenn Phillips in back-to-back deliveries. Krunal took charge of the LSG after KL Rahul was ruled out of the tournament due to a thigh injury.

On the first ball of the 12th over, Krunal dismissed his counterpart Markram who came down the ground to play a big shot but was deceived by sharp turn as Quinton de Kock removed the bails early to get the better of him. While the LSG skipper didn’t stop there as he bowled another unstoppable delivery that breached Glenn Phillips’ defense to hit the stumps.

Markram won the toss and decided to bat first at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

After winning the toss, Markram said that batting all-rounder Sanveer Singh is making his IPL debut. “Looks like a good wicket. It will be on the dry side. Hopefully we can get a good total and put scoreboard pressure on them.”

“You have to balance the conditions and what’s working for the team. In day’s play you can’t see it (the pitch) changing too much. We’re in an exciting position, hope it brings out the best in us “

Lucknow captain Krunal Pandya said that Prerak Mankad and Yudhvir Singh Charak have been included in the playing XI in place of Deepak Hooda and Mohsin Khan.

“We could have batted first as well, but I don’t mind (bowling) either. It has been a season of ups and downs for us. You have to play good cricket, that’s what matters. The wicket looks good and it will play that way,” said Kunal at the toss.
