Shah Rukh Khan meets and hugs Virat Kohli after Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 81 runs

Bollywood superstar and co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders Shahrukh Khan met the batting maestro Virat Kohli after his team IPL There will be a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Thursday night. Shah Rukh took some time out from his busy schedule to attend his team’s first match at Eden Gardens after three years as he was accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan.

After his team registered a massive 81-run win, Shah Rukh dropped down in the middle and hugged all the players on both sides of the ground. He also met Kohli and hugged him tightly and the RCB star asked him to teach him the “Jhoom Jo Pathan” dance step. SRK didn’t ruin either team as he taught Kohli the famous trick.

After scoring an unbeaten 82 against Mumbai Indians, Kohli made a comeback in style by hitting the first ball of the innings against Umesh Yadav for a four. Meanwhile, Kohli failed to carry the momentum while chasing a mammoth target of 205 against Kolkata Knight Riders and was dismissed for 21. It was the experienced Sunil Narine who got the better of him with an excellent delivery to hit the timbers. KKR registered their first win of the season courtesy a blistering 68-run knock from Shardul Thakur and the spin trio of Varun Chakravarthy, Suyash Sharma and Narine.

Shardul (68 from 29 balls) and opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz (57 from 44 balls) hit half-centuries, while Rinku Singh scored 46 from 33 balls, helping KKR reach 204 for seven from 89 for five. Shardul and Rinku stitched a sensational partnership of 103 runs which revived KKR’s innings and put them in a strong position. Coming in at number seven, Thakur hit the joint fastest half-century of the season off 20 balls.

Leg-spinner Varun Chakravarthy (4/15) and youngster Suyash Sharma (3/30) did most of the damage as KKR bowled out RCB for 123 in 17.4 overs.
