The election season has arrived and hence the Election Commission may soon announce the election dates for five states. The five states in which assembly elections are due in the next few months are Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur. But the rapidly spreading Omicron variant has raised concerns about the safe conduct of elections.
