Star India all-rounder Akshar Patel tied the knot last month and visited a temple to wish for a happy married life.

Indian all-rounder Akshar Patel on Monday visited the Baba Mahakaleshwar temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain with his wife Meha. The newly married couple visited Mahakaleshwar after reaching the temple premises.

They reached the venue early in the morning to participate in the ‘Bhasma Aarti’, which is usually performed at Nandihal during the Brahma Muhurta between 4 am and 5:30 am.

Talking about his journey, Akshar revealed that it was his dream to see Aarti.

According to the cricketer, he had come to the temple five years back but missed the opportunity. This time, his wish finally came true.

After completing the rituals, Akshar and Meha, who spent around two hours there, performed Jalabhishek inside the temple and sought blessings from Lord Shiva.

Akshar’s stroke came a day after that India Teammate KL Rahul marked his presence at the same temple with his wife Athiya Shetty. The couple offered prayers to Lord Shiva.

Rahul and Athiya also participated in the famous Bhasma Arti.

The India opener took a small amount of aarti bhasma, which is considered an auspicious prasad. Ashish Pujari, the priest of the holy temple, told the media that the couple wished for a happy married life as well as the well-being of the Indian cricket team.

Akshar and Rahul were married within a week.

While Akshar and Meha tied the knot in Gujarat’s Vadodara on January 26, Rahul and Athya’s wedding took place on the 23rd of last month in a grand ceremony held at actor Suniel Shetty’s lavish Khandala residence.

Both Rahul and Akshar are part of the Indian squad for the ongoing four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia at home.

The hosts have already made an unassailable 2-0 lead in the third match starting on Wednesday in Indore.

Although India dominated in the previous matches, Rahul failed to put up a special performance. Akshar, on the other hand, has been impressive, putting in a game-changing performance with the bat.

He scored two half-centuries, scoring 158 runs in two innings.
