Indian cricketers led by Virat Kohli were seen having fun while taking headshots for the upcoming three-match Test series against South Africa. The tour starts on 26 December with the first match of the series to be played at Centurion.

BCCI shared a short clip in which several Indian Test stars including Captain Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, KL Rahul can be seen posing and smiling for the camera.

“Team headshots done. Just sleeps away from the first Test. We can’t wait,” wrote the BCCI along with the clip shared on their social media handle.

The series is being held under the cloud of Covid as its new version threatens to disrupt normal life again. As a result of rising cases, India’s tour was postponed by a week and T20Is were dropped from the original schedule and both teams will now play only three Tests and as many ODIs.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has taken stringent measures to ensure the tour, which is expected to make financial gains for them, goes ahead without incident. As a result, matches have been closed to the general public, meaning players will play in empty stadiums.

CSA has also made arrangements for various scenarios, including guaranteed beds in hospitals, in case an Indian player needs to be hospitalized for any reason. Additionally, the touring party will be allowed to leave the house even when the borders are closed to prevent the spread of the virus.

CSA Chief Medical Officer Shuaib Manjra was quoted by News24.com as saying, “If an Indian player needs hospitalization for any reason, we have approached some hospital groups who have sent us beds in hospitals.” guaranteed.”
