Fox 35 Orlando quoted a passenger as saying that the incident happened while the plane was on its way from Fort Lauderdale to Hollywood International Airport. In addition, adverse weather delayed the plane by an hour. The journey for passengers was made even longer when the plane was diverted to Orlando International Airport.

When members of the flight crew try to pacify the angry man, he becomes more aggressive with his words and starts shouting profanities. Also, the woman sitting next to her can be seen shouting. Another part of the video shows the man talking to Southwest Airlines employees after the plane landed in Orlando. At the end of the video, he can be seen being escorted out of the airport by police officers.
