Saturday was the hottest day of the season in Himachal Pradesh. The scorching sun made people sweat a lot. All the major cities of the state including Shimla recorded the highest maximum temperature in the year. Una’s temperature crossed 43 degree Celsius. On the other hand, the maximum temperature in Hills Queen Shimla was 29 degree Celsius.

In some areas of the plains of Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra, Mandi, Solan and Sirmaur, people remained troubled due to the scorching heat. Due to the increase on Saturday, the Ridge ground of Shimla, which was full on normal days, also looked empty in the afternoon. At the same time, people can get relief from the heat due to change in the weather pattern in the medium to high altitude areas of the state on Sunday. The Meteorological Department has predicted light showers of rain in Shimla, Kullu, Chamba and areas.

Strong storm warning in the state till May 16-18
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be bad in the state for the next 3 days from Monday. Meanwhile, the department has issued a warning of strong storm and heavy hailstorm everywhere. In this warning, the concern of farmers and gardeners has increased further. The threat of heavy damage to wheat and other cash crops due to hailstorm has started haunting the farmers.
