Young all-rounder Riyan Parag faced the wrath of angry fans after yet another unsuccessful knock in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Coming into bat against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Friday evening, the Assam cricketer scored just 4 runs in 6 six balls. It wasn’t just Ryan who had a bad outing. Apart from Sanju Samson, none of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) could live up to the expectations. In fact, 8 out of 11 batsmen scored in single digits as RR were bundled out for 118.

Riyan has so far failed to find rhythm with the bat, scoring just 58 runs in six innings. His inconsistency saw him dropped from the first XI and not included in the impact players’ list until Friday’s GT clash. He replaced Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was batting at No.6. It was a desperate call after the Royals were 63 for 4 in 8 overs. But the move did not yield a positive result as Riyan was trapped in front of Rashid Khan.
Riyan’s yet another failure with the bat this season has led to massive trolling on social media. However, the all-rounder penned an emotional tweet after Rajasthan Royals lost by 9 wickets to the defending champions.

After Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for just 118 runs in 17.5 overs, a solid opening stand of 71 between Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha set the stage for a huge win, which was also aided by skipper Hardik Pandya’s flamboyant 15-ball 39.
