Wanted criminal arrested after encounter with police in Greater Noida Noida News – Times of India

Noida: A wanted criminal was arrested after he was injured in a shootout with the police in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday evening. Officials gave this information.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Police Vishal Pandey Said that the encounter started when the accused did not join the routine police investigation ATS Roundabout under Beta 2 police station area.
“The accused was on a motorcycle and signaled to stop but he fled towards Chuhadpur. Local police were alerted and the accused was surrounded near Chuhadpur underpass where he opened fire on the police party.” Pandey said.
“He got injured in a shootout with the police and was apprehended. He was later sent to the hospital for treatment.
The accused has been identified as wasimPolice said the 25-year-old, who carried a reward of Rs 25,000 on his arrest in an attempt to murder case from Dadri police station.
He was also wanted in some cases adjoining Ghaziabad district, they said.
Pandey said the police have seized a motorcycle which Wasim had stolen from Dadri and an illegal gun and ammunition were seized from him.
He said that further action is being taken.
