Malayalam award-winning filmmaker Alphons Puthren is one of those celebrities who loves interacting with his fans. Recently, one of his fans asked the Gold director to collaborate with superstar Ajith Kumar. The Premam director spoke candidly about it and revealed why it might not be possible. Alphonse said that for the last 8 years he has been trying to approach Ajith Kumar for a film, but all in vain. “Actor Nivin told me that Ajit sir liked the film Premam. Later, I asked to meet Suresh Chandra, Ajith’s manager, 10 times. It has been 8 years but there has been no response from their side,” said the director.

He further said that till his last breath he would try to rope Ajith in a film. The trance director said, “Do you know how much it hurts me every time you ask this question when Ajith and I would join for a picture?” He further added that he is tired of trying to tell the same story again and again. Anger is the first thing on Alphonse’s mind when faced with such questions, he shared and added that if his future film turns out to be true then it will run for 100 days in Hollywood and Kollywood theatres.

Recently, Alphonse gave it back to those who mocked him for his recent film Gold. He faced a lot of criticism online upon the release of this film. The picture marked his much-anticipated comeback, after a gap of seven years. But the grandeur and breadth of the film fell short of expectations, resulting in a barrage of Internet criticism directed towards him.

He said, “If you are trolling me and saying bad things about me and my film Gold for your satisfaction..then it is good for you. Not for me. So protest by not showing your face on internet.” I am not your slave, didn’t give me the right to tease or abuse me in public. So if you want see my creations. And don’t show your anger by coming to my page. If you do, I will be invisible on the internet,” the director wrote before deleting his display picture.
