“Wahan Nahi Sign Kar Sakta,” Neeraj Chopra’s Gesture Wins Hearts Of Millions

Neeraj Chopra has added another accolade to his name by winning the World championship. This was the only missing title in his kitty of trophies and India is celebrating him wholeheartedly.

The heartthrob athlete who made Indians go crazy over his simplicity and charm after winning gold in the Tokyo Olympics has once again won the hearts of millions of fans for his pure talent and patriotism.

The true soldier never misses a chance to show his love and respect for India and Indianhood. For those who are unversed, Neeraj Chopra is an Indian army personnel serving at the designation of Subedar.

Yesterday when he brought the world championship to India and the nation got another opportunity to be so proud of him, an incident happened that touched the hearts of many. It is the first time that an Indian has bagged gold at the World Athletics Championships and our hero is being praised not just for the medal but for another gold too that his heart is made up of.

After winning the gold medal, a Hungarian fan approached him for his signature on the Indian flag. Of course, she asked this with all good intentions and love but Neeraj Chopra said, “Wahan nahi sign kar sakta.” (I can’t sign there)

How can a fauji not respect his tricolour! How can even a sportsperson not do that! We have seen the spirit of Indianness in our players very often. Neeraj Chopra denied his fan’s request owing to the flag code. He however signed on her t-shirt sleeve and she was beyond happy.

A picture of him signing the t-shirt’s sleeve is floating on the internet and several users commended him for his gesture towards the national flag. Chopra has now bagged a complete set of global medals including the Olympic gold medal, the Diamond trophy and now the World Championship.
