Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Tuesday appealed to the people to vote with enthusiasm in the second phase of urban local body elections on May 11 to make the government disciplined and responsible.

“To get rid of rising inflation, poverty, unemployment and other troubling public problems, full participation of people in elections is very necessary. Therefore, people are appealed to vote with more enthusiasm and dedication in the second phase of Uttar Pradesh civic elections to be held on May 11.

The BSP chief himself has not campaigned for any candidate in the urban local body elections.

“The best democratic right of the public is to vote to teach the anti-people parties and governments the right lesson… Use your vote properly in the civic elections of Uttar Pradesh to win the BSP and force the government to be disciplined and responsible, she said in another tweet.
