Vadodara: Kovid-19 vaccination of eligible adolescents in the district Vadodara Municipal Corporation ,VMC) areas have seen a major decline after adolescents in this age group did not turn up for their jobs and officials are now looking for means to encourage them to get vaccinated.
When the vaccination campaign for this category began on 3 January, a total of 19,128 VMCs were vaccinated in the range. This has now come down to only 312 eligible juveniles as on Tuesday. Vaccination was interrupted for a few days due to lack of dosage. According to the municipal officials, covaxin The dose used to vaccinate adolescents is now available. This seems possible as their counterparts in the rural areas of the district have not complained of any shortage.
VMC officials said that the vaccination campaign for the teenagers was largely focused on getting the shots in the school. However, this has now become a challenge due to non-running of offline classes in schools.
