Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ ready for release in UAE and Singapore

The craze and influence of Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ has increased tremendously in our country and now the film has registered a new victory in its name by taking censor clearance from UAE and Singapore.

Recently director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri took to his social media to share the good news of the film getting censor clearance from UAE and Singapore without any cuts. He wrote in the caption – “Big win: Finally, censored clearance from UAE. Rated 15+ without any cuts. Releasing on April 7th (Thursday). Now, Singapore. (Thanks for this pic Shanu) )”.

Speaking about the same the director said – “In India, some people are calling it Islamophobic, but an Islamic country has passed it for 0 cut and 15+ audience after 4 weeks of investigation whereas in India it is 18 + is”. Something similar has happened in Singapore, where it took about three weeks.

There were a lot of representations from Muslim groups, but then their head of censors said that there was nothing objectionable in the film and it should be seen by all, the same is the case with the United Arab Emirates. A lot of people made representations, re-examined but they are all saying that this film is about humanity, this film is against terrorism so it should be seen by all. But some people in India who are opposing it without seeing it and calling it Islamophobic, they are either part of terrorist groups or have wicked mind.

Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the escape drama features a stellar cast of actors including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar.
