Vivek Agnihotri was asked if he would ever cast Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt in the same film.

Vivek Agnihotri seemingly refused to bring Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt together in a film. The filmmaker, who helmed the recently released The Vaccine War, has praised Kangana and Alia in the past. Although he is impressed by their work, Vivek wasn’t on board of bringing them together in a film. He said that he ‘would die’ even if he had such a thought and explained that he doesn’t want to get involved in their personal lives.

“Main agar aise sochne lagunga toh mai mar hi jaaunga, kaun sochta hai iss tarah se. Yeh, thinking bhi kaise ho sakti hai kisi ki (I’ll die if I start thinking like this. Who thinks like this? and how can someone think like this). Alia Bhatt got the National Award, she is an actor of India who was honored by the Government Of India, I also got a National Award at that time, so I congratulated Alia. When Kangana got the National Award, I congratulated her too,” Vivek said, speaking with Siddharth Kannan.

He also revealed he recently met Alia at an awards show and was glad with the way she greeted him. He added that he also meets Kangana warmly. “Mai do logon ko film mai ek saath kara dun, mera kya lena dena hai unki zindagi se? Mera koi aisa shauk nahi (I bring them both together in a film, what do I have to do with their lives? I do not have any such hobby),” he added.

Kangana Ranaut appears to have mixed feelings about Alia Bhatt. While she praised her for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi last year, earlier this year, she made indirect digs at Alia and Ranbir’s marriage. It is to see if a filmmaker manages to bring the two stars in one frame.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana will be seen in Tejas, set to release later this month. On the other hand, Alia has a slew of projects, include Vasan Bala’s Jigra.
