Omicron has rolled back stringent requirements for their testing and quarantining around the world. The travel industry, both airlines and hotels, say that Omicron’s situation in the UK is causing a lot of cancellations.

Due to this “increased demand”, VFS has asked applicants to schedule a biometric appointment by filling a web form from December 17, 2021.
“The biggest fear is what happens if someone tests positive at any stage of the journey and then needs to be quarantined/hospitalised. Due to these uncertainties, only essential international travel is taking place this time. We survive only on domestic travel,” said a prominent Delhi-based travel agent.
