India were bowled out for 81 in the third T20I.

Virender Sehwag expected India to score at least 130 runs and not roll for 80.

A weakened Indian team lost to Sri Lanka in the third T20I in Colombo and also lost the series in the process. The young Indian batting had no answer to the spinning surface and were bundled out for just 81 runs in the final T20I. This performance did not impress former India captain Virender Sehwag and he said that many young batsmen failed to capitalize on the opportunity and made a statement to the selectors for future opportunities.

He also said that his own kids kept teasing him during the match as the sequence of events was boring and hence, he had to face lewd comments from his own kids.

Speaking on Cricbuzz, Sehwag said that the entire match was quite boring and only wickets kept falling which never helped. He said that it was not just India’s day and it is quite natural to have a match in a series where nothing goes in your favor. However, he was quick to add that he expects India to score at least 130 runs and not roll for 80.

Sri Lanka’s bowling is nothing special: Sehwag

Although the Indian batting was reduced to 81, Sehwag said that he did not find anything special in Sri Lanka’s bowling. He said that if 3 out of 5 batsmen get stuck lbw, things will get complicated and if even one batsman would have kicked to score a half-century, India would have got a decent total.

In the third T20I, India were bowled out for 81 and Sri Lanka chased down the target in just 14.3 overs to win the match and the series 2–1. During this, Rahul Chahar took three wickets and gave away 15 runs.
