The Venu Udugula directorial is based on an epic love story set against the backdrop of the Naxalite movement in Andhra Pradesh during the 1990s. The film stars Daggubati as the protagonist Comrade Ravana and his admirer Venela essayed by Sai Pallavi. The Telugu film has created tremendous buzz on social media.

Reportedly, Virata Parvam earned Rs 11 crore in Telugu speaking states, with Andhra’s turnover at Rs 5 crore, followed by Nizam earning Rs 4 crore. The pre-release business of Overseas and Rest of India is around Rs 3 crore.
According to Andhra Box Office, “Virat Parvam: While a niche section of the audience is in awe of it, the overall reports and opening today are very mediocre!”
The period action-drama also stars Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Ishwari Rao, Sai Chand and Nivetha Pethuraj in other prominent roles.
