Virat Kohli registers massive records! Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, AB de Villiers all left behind

Virat Kohli Enjoyed his 500th international game to the fullest in the 2nd Test against the West Indies. Kohli’s century registered many big records in his name in Test cricket. The modern day greats have left the giants behind Sachin TendulkarBrian Lara and AB de Villiers.

Kohli has the most centuries after 500 matches

Sachin Tendulkar has dominated the record of hundreds in both the formats where he has played consistently. He is the leading ton maker in both the formats. But his successor Kohli has also left behind the great Tendulkar in terms of scoring the maximum number of centuries after playing 500 matches. Kohli registered his 29th Test century and 76th overall to overtake his compatriot.

Meanwhile, the former Indian skipper has left behind his dear friend and RCB teammate in another special list. In the list of most hundreds against the West Indies, Kohli is now the joint second highest scorer. He has 12 centuries against him and has gone past de Villiers’ 11 centuries. The 34-year-old now equals Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar’s record for most centuries against Windies. Gavaskar is on top and has 13 tons to his name.

Kohli beat Brian Lara

The Indian legend has also gone ahead of former West Indies cricketer Brian Lara in terms of scoring most centuries at number 4 in Test cricket. It was his 25th Test century at No.4 and he is now fourth on the list. The list is headed by Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar, who has 44 Test centuries at this position.
