Nottingham: Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and ace off-spinner R Ashwin congratulated India’s Olympic medalists as well as those participating in the Tokyo 2020 Games.

India recorded its highest ever medal tally in an edition of the Olympics – seven medals – and went on to win its first gold medal 13 years later.

“Congratulations to all our winners and participants in the Olympics. Wins and losses are part of the game, but what matters is that you gave your best for the country.
