However, the 33-year-old led the Men in Blue to several historic bilateral series wins, making him one of the most successful ODI captains in Indian history.

Kohli has an excellent success ratio as India’s ODI captain with 65 wins from 95 matches.

Rohit spoke about Kohli’s legacy and said that under his leadership there was a clear message of determination and determination to win every game.

“He has put the team in a position where there is no looking back. He has led the team from the front every time we step into the park in those five years. There was an obvious grit and determination to win every game. Which was a message to the entire team,” Rohit told BCCI.tv.

Rohit, who played a lot of cricket with the 33-year-old, said that he enjoyed playing under him and will continue to do so.

“We had a great time under his captaincy, obviously we played a lot of cricket under him and enjoyed every moment and I will continue to do so,” he said.

The aggressive opener said that the primary focus of the entire team is to keep getting better as an individual.

“We need to keep getting better as a team and keep getting better as individuals, which will be the focus of not only me but the entire team. That’s what we’re hoping to do and keep getting better and sure how we can get better as a team,” he said.

He spoke about India’s drought in ICC events over the years and said that the team needs to go an extra inch to achieve glory.
