Virat Kohli About To Script History With THIS T20 Cricket Record

India’s talisman Virat Kohli has a plethora of cricketing records to his name and has already registered himself as one of the greatest players to ever play the sport.

Kohli, who has 11,994 runs in 375 T20 matches is just 6 runs away from scripting history and become only the fourth player in T20 cricket to rach the 12,000 run milestone.

Virat Kohli will be playing his final T20I match for Team India before the T20 World Cup 2024 and will hope to build the right kind of momentum ahead of the quadrennial event.

Virat returned to T20 cricket after a long 14 month gap and will complete the 12000-run mark by scoring just 6 runs in the 3rd and final T20I match against Afghanistan on his IPL home ground in Bengaluru.

Having missed the 1st T20I vs Afghanistan due to personal reasons, Kohli did take the ground for the 2nd T20I and scored a 16-ball 29 which showed his aggressive intent in the shortest format of the game.

Virat has scored 4037 runs in T20Is while the 35-year-old has 7263 runs for his IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The batter with the most runs in T20I cricket as of now is West Indies veteran batter Chris Gayle. The former RCB player has 14562 runs in his illustrious T20 career.

Rohit next on the list

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma also has an impressive T20I record for India with the Hitman scoring 3853 in 150 T20I matches for the Men In Blue. Rohit also holds the record for the most number of T20I matches played (150).
