CBI has filed two chargesheets in the case of post-poll violence in West Bengal.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed two charge sheets in separate cases related to violence and other crimes in West Bengal.

In the first case, the CBI has today filed a charge sheet against the four accused in the competent court.

The CBI had registered the case immediately on August 25 on the orders of the Calcutta High Court and took over the investigation of the case, formerly at Police Station Bhatpara, District North 24 Parganas, against three accused and an unidentified person alleging that The accused had visited the house. of a victim and misbehaved with him and other members.

One of the accused allegedly threw a bomb on the forehead of the said victim, which led to her death. Further investigation is on against the rest of the accused.

In the second case, on September 2, a chargesheet was filed against the two accused in the court.

The CBI registered the case following the order of the High Court and took over the investigation of the case earlier registered at Police Station Nalhati, District Birbhum, on the allegation that the complainant was going from Nalhati to Madhuri and was near the police camp.

Two unidentified laborers told him that a man was lying in a paddy field on the side of Canal Bank Road. When the complainant reached the spot, it was found that a resident of nearby Jagdhari village was lying dead in the paddy field of Moizuddin. The complainant called at Nalhati police station.

Police reached the spot and brought the body to Rampurhat Hospital. It is alleged that some miscreants killed the victim. Further investigation is being done against the rest of the accused.

In pursuance of the ongoing investigation, the CBI also conducted searches at nine places, in which mobile phones, SIM cards etc. were recovered. The case was earlier registered at Chakdah police station in Nadia district on the allegation that the accused caught the victim outside her house at night and hit her on the head with a sharp object. It was also alleged that the accused strangled her and fractured her testicle.

Apart from the said case, CBI has also recently registered two more cases and has taken over the investigation of these cases which are earlier registered in different police stations of West Bengal on different charges.

One of these cases was earlier registered at Dattapukur police station in North 24 Parganas district on the allegation that the accused had apprehended the victim and the family members while working in his field on May 3, 2021. It was further alleged that the accused attacked them with firearms, bombs, sticks etc. and during such attack, one victim died.

The second case was earlier registered at Police Station Sonarpur, District South 24 Parganas alleging that the accused attacked the complainant’s nephew and some others with bricks, sticks, shovels etc. on May 2, 2021 and left him covered in blood. Gave. The injured was taken to the hospital where he died due to injuries. The CBI has registered 34 cases so far and investigation is on in these cases.
