The makers of Varshangalkku Shesham have announced that the movie has crossed Rs 50 crore worldwide at the box office. They expressed their gratitude to all the fans for achieving this milestone.

Vineeth Sreenivasan’s directorial Varshangalkku Shesham has collected Rs 50 crore worldwide seven days after its theatrical release. The film stars Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead roles. Nivin Pauly, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Aju Varghese and Basil Joseph played the supporting roles in the movie. It was produced by Visaskh Subramaniam under the banner of Merryland Cinemas, marking the second collaboration between them following the success of Hridayam in 2022. Varshangalkku Shesham revolves around the story of two friends Murali (Pranav Mohanlal) and Venu (Dhyan Sreenivasan), who left their hometown in Kerala to chase their dreams of becoming a music director and film director, respectively. The period drama film showcases the struggles of the duo in the film-obsessed city of Kodambakkam, Madras, the hub of South Indian cinema during the mid-1970s and 80s. Fans appreciated the movie and unanimously passed the verdict that the movie would enter Rs 100 crore soon in the comment box of the post. “It’s a nice feel-good movie,” wrote one of the users.

Varshangalkku Shesham features Chennai in the 1970s and 1980s and tries to showcase the evolution of the South film industry through that time with the story of young friends. This film came almost 20 years after Mohanlal and Sreenivasan did a film titled Udayananu Tharam. Now their sons have collaborated to produce a similar film but with a distinct feel. The music of the movie was composed by the debutant Amrit Ramnath. The cinematography of the movie is done by Viswajith Odukkathil and edited by Ranjan Abraham.
